PROJECT

Launch the first home diagnostic paternity test to be available over-the-counter exclusively in Boots.

STRATEGY & IMPLEMENTATION

A potentially scandalous proposition if not managed correctly, ROAD convened an advisory board with media experts to develop key messages designed to balance potentially controversial media coverage (around evidence which shows that every year the father’s name is left blank on 50,000 birth certificates).  Case studies were sourced of successful outcomes and relationship issues following paternity testing, and expert spokesperson, Dr Mandy Hartley, was trained to field media interview requests.

MAKING A HEALTHY DIFFERENCE

Primetime BBC and ITV national TV news, and 7 national newspapers carried features and case studies leading to the product being immediately reordered by main high street retail partner.
